A classic and highly regarded 35mm SLR from Canon's late-1970s lineup, the A-1 was a landmark camera offering full program automation alongside aperture and shutter priority modes u2014 advanced for its era. It comes mounted with a Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 standard lens, a sharp and versatile "nifty fifty" well-suited for everyday shooting.
The body shows significant wear and heavy paint loss on the leatherette, scuffing on the top plate and corners.
Mechanically these cameras are known to be robust. Also included is what appears to be the original Canon ever-ready leather case, which is heavily worn with significant cracking and paint loss throughout, but intact.
This camera and lens have not been tested for functionality.
